Built beside the pitch, not in a boardroom
Clubzone started because a juvenile section was running four age groups off one spreadsheet, a shared calendar nobody could edit, and a group chat that scrolled past anything important within a day.
Every feature in it answers something a mentor or a secretary actually complained about. The pitch clash check exists because two teams turned up for the same slot. Scoring works without an account because the person keeping score is usually whoever is free, and they will not install an app at five to seven.
We build it in Cork, and we still ring clubs before we ship anything big.
How we decide what to build
- It has to work on a phone, in the rain, at the gate.
- If a feature only makes sense sitting at a laptop, it is the wrong shape. Attendance, scoring and assessments are all built thumb-first.
- A volunteer should not need training to use it.
- Nobody is paid to learn this. If a club officer cannot get through a task without being shown, that is our bug, not theirs.
- Your club’s data is your club’s.
- Clubs are separated at the query level, not by hiding buttons. Export what you have put in, whenever you want it.
- Boring reliability beats a long feature list.
- Fixtures and bookings are the club’s official record. They are worth more when they are simply always right.
Set your club up in an evening
Tell us how your club is set up and we will have it running for you — teams, age groups and pitches — before your next training night.
